How this calculator works

Concentration describes how much mass is present per unit of volume. Enter the total vial mass and final liquid volume. The calculation converts mass to micrograms first, then divides by volume in milliliters.

Formula

mcg/mL = mass in mcg ÷ volume in mL. mg/mL = mcg/mL ÷ 1,000.

Arithmetic example — not a recommendation

Arithmetic example only: 2 mg is 2,000 mcg. Dividing by 1 mL gives 2,000 mcg/mL, which is also 2 mg/mL.

Scope and assumptions

This is a mass-per-volume calculation, not molarity. It assumes the stated mass is uniformly distributed through the entered final volume. No molecular weight, purity or material identity is inferred.

Mass is normalized to mcg; volume stays in mL. Where shown, U-100 means 100 scale units per mL. Read all formulas and precision rules.

Questions about this tool

Why are there two concentration results?

They describe the same mass per mL in different units. One mg equals 1,000 mcg, so the numeric mcg/mL value is 1,000 times the mg/mL value.

Can this calculate a target volume?

This mode only needs mass and volume. Use the peptide calculator when you also have a target mass and need its corresponding volume.
