Display values are rounded; calculations are not. Decimals do not establish measurement precision.
Share links contain your values. Opening them sends the URL to the host and may save it in browser history or logs.
Enter values and calculate. The result appears here and every step appears in the Formula Inspector below.
Formula Inspector
Every line uses the same engine values as the result. ≈ marks display rounding only; full precision is retained.
Worked example · arithmetic only, not a recommendation
Every result carries its trace.
The Formula Inspector lists each operation with the numbers the engine actually used. This example comes from the same engine as your own calculation: nothing is hard-coded.

- Normalize mass
Vial mass in canonical units: 5,000 mcg
- Calculate concentration
5,000 mcg ÷ 2 mL ≈ 2,500 mcg/mL
- Calculate target volume
250 mcg ÷ 2,500 mcg/mL ≈ 0.1 mL
- Map to U-100 scale
0.1 mL × 100 units/mL ≈ 10 units

One engine. Six ways to measure.
Each tool answers a different question. All of them normalize mass to micrograms, keep volume in milliliters and share the same tested formulas.

Reference / fundamentals
Units and principles
The definitions every calculator relies on, and the rules the product follows.
Definitions
- mg and mcg
- Units of mass. 1 mg = 1,000 mcg. Calculations normalize every mass to mcg.
- Concentration
- Mass per volume: vial mass ÷ final liquid volume, in mcg/mL or mg/mL.
- U-100
- A syringe scale with 100 scale units per mL, so one unit is 0.01 mL. It measures volume, not mass.
- Why concentration is required
- A mass cannot be converted to scale units directly. Concentration links mass to volume, and volume maps to the scale.
Principles
- You supply every value. Forms start empty, and examples are labelled.
- One calculation engine. Every tool and every formula line uses the same functions.
- Local by default. Calculating sends nothing to a server. Share links are optional.
- No hidden multiplier. Every formula is public in the calculator methodology.
